The Taught Curriculum
Throughout Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9) all students study a broad range of subjects which include the following:

Students enter year 7 and are taught in mixed ability tutor groups and for English, Maths, Science and MFL students are grouped by ability in teaching sets. Increasing use is made of grouping by ability as students move on through Key Stage 3.
In KeyStage4 (Years 10 and 11) all students study the following subjects:
Religious Education, English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science, (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and National Certificate Science, Physical Education, ICT, PSHE & Citizenship
In addition students are guided to choose one of two pathways.

The courses in Route B are the equivalent of four GCSE passes. Students and parents are issued with a comprehensive booklet describing the options process and the subject choices during the second term of year 9.
